Summertime Ball @ Wembley

Hi!
My friend and I have got our girls tickets for this on Sunday at Wembley!

We are staying over in Wembley... neither of us have ever been to wembley!

Can anyone suggest anywhere for us to go while we wait for our daughters please?

thanks in advance x

My daughters have been a few times to this event in previous years and first of all I would arrange a meeting place (in front of Wembley Park tube station steps at the end of the walkway is good as last few times the police had created a kind of pen with metal barriers and all the teens were in there waiting with the polcie keeping an eye on them). You will only get to walk them as far as the ramp up to the stadium as queus start there. If you could ask them to leave a couple of minutes early it will make all the difference as they will not have to cope with the crowds and will allow you to meet up more eaisly. You could get the jubillee tube from Wembley Park to Baker Street adn change onto theHammersmith and City line to Wood Lane to go to Westfield's shopping centre which is open until 10pm. Plenty of shops and places to eat at.

    Thanks both for your replies.

Do you have a rough idea what prices they charge once inside the stadium? Drinks? Food? T-shirts? I'm guessing as its wembley, it's going to be a lot more than other stadiums. :(

The food is not very good and expensive. I seem to remember it was about £7-8 for a burger and a small bottle of water was £4. Although it says no food and drink my girls and friends always took in snacks and carton drinks with no problems. They don't allow plastic bottles with lids on them as they can be thrown (even if you purchase bottled drinks in the venue they take the bottle tops off). There is a McDonalds in the trading estate just beside the Stadium walkway that was always full of teens before and after the event. it is funny to watch as the drive through is changed to a "walkthrough" with barriers to stop cars.

The shops are only open until 6pm on Sunday but the Southern Terrace which is full of places to eat and drink is open until 10.30pm on Sundays, so might be an idea to kill time eating after the shops shut or there is a large cinema at Westfirld if you fancy going to see a movie. The tube journey back will take about half an hour.
