Movilogo - You are right about repairs, but if you dont fix the damage on your own car then its worth less when you sell it so the cost is the same regardless of if you fix the probem or not.
As regards accessories - cant think of anything that I would want to fit that I couldnt have had new on the car so no big issue for me.
Dont own the car at the end. I think thats a point of a lease - you are just paying for the use of the car for the duration - if a model becomes unpopular and is worth next to nothing not your problem. It costs a lot less to lease a car per month than it would to buy it on HP.
Lease co making a profit - yes, or course they do - why would they be in business if it was not to make a profit?
Most lease companies will sell you the car at the end for a good price anyway - all they will do is chuck it into auction so if you want to keep it then they will let you have it for near trade price.
I see both sides of the argument, and agree that leasing will cost you more in the long run, but its not as much as some people think, and for me the price is worth it as I like having a new car every two years with little / no responsibilities.0 -
Be aware of a 1-off admin fee used by some lease some companies, typically between £200-300 + VAT. I emailed Ling Valentine yesterday to ask if she charges this "admin" fee and she does not, except for "Saabs and 1 or 2 BMWs, outwith her control".0
