Does anyone really think she made those desserts or were they shop-bought?
If she made them, she's obviously got a talent that she should use instead of trying to cook - as she clearly can't do that!

When I first heard the name was Amy's Baking Company, I seriously thought gordon was going to a cake shop and I thought well that's a change. I bet if they removed the restaurant side and made it into a fully fledged cake shop (with NO seating), they'd remove 99% of the conflict.

If you read some of the online reviews since the grand opening though, they seem to have had a fruit fly infestation. One reporter for the local news and his colleagues got kicked out as they all found fruit flies in their vodka martinis, and then another couple bought some cakes and there were fruit flies on top of the desserts!!!

The desserts (cakes) were the only thing GR made any positive comments on yet it was only after the show aired is was disclosed that Amy buys them in then portions and repackages them for sale at a higher price.

It has also been alleged in some internet locales that Sammy's over protective attitude to the POS system could be a cover for a money laundering operation.

Really??? I didn't know about the cakes! I only saw on the episode where she said she makes them. I have to say I was a bit skeptical as they looked a little 'too' good.

Both of them seem to have lists of previous convictions bigger than their egos too.

  • Used to love this programme but it's soooo predictable now:

    Arrive
Find family at war with each other
Look at disgusting state of restaurant
    Try Food in restaurant
    Find out food is horrendous
    Watch poor service
    Find out kitchen is disgusting
    Repaint restaurant
    Devise new menu
Everyone is friends and all is great with the world.

Maybe so in virtually all episodes but this one was different.

Got as far as "watch poor service" then Gordon bailed out as this couple really, really were a lost cause.

I was amazed at them, and I am even more amazed that none of the customers they have yelled at have given them a slap!

I'm really hoping they repeat this as I missed it.
