Faulty TV from Littlewoods (which was previousley returned by someone else)

    I know she will get the cost of the report back but I think its a matter of principle due to the amount she spends with them and how long she's been with them and this is the first real problem she has ever had I think she was expecting them to sort it out.
    Well nowadays loyalty doesn't appear to count for much.

    One argument goes along the lines of "we do not need to offer anything special to those customers we have already hooked. We can be pretty sure they will stay with us. Let's spend our money on enticing more people in".
    This is why you see such things as "£20 off your first online shop", or "first six months Sky subscription half price", etc, etc.

    Perhaps long established customers who consider themselves to be treated unfairly should seek an alternative supplier.
    Yes, it takes a bit of effort to do this, but sadly, so many of us stick with the devil we know.

    it is kinda strange that you bought overpriced garbage from a company who IMO has some of the worst customer service of major retailers

    You have to remember that you are paying for the credit in the price.

    Can never understand why people never register the warranty. In fact if the OP contacts the manufacture they may well be able to assist by the serial No and when it was made.

    I don't think that the previous returns for the same fault (2 weeks before OP bought) is going to help given the fact that the TV has worked fine for over a year.
