EDF meter change screwup.

Hi,

I changed to an EDF Blue electric contract, part of which entailed a meter change from an economy 7 meter.

On 3 separate occasions an Electrician failed to turn up and change the meter. I was thinking of using the "missed delivery" template but I did not take any time of work so compensation is not applicable.

EDF spun me a line that Eon would have the same problem changing the meter as there is some system they cannot book the electrician on! should I believe this??

What are my options, is EDF blue still the cheapest?

Ask for GSOS (Guaranteed Standards Of Service) payments.

the usual payment for missed appointments is £25. You have to ask for it, they wont volunteer it

Use a comparison site to check what is the cheapest deal for you.

There are no early exit fees with EDF blue

Eon can happily cope with an Economy 7 meter being used on a non-Economy 7 tarrif (they can add two numbers together), so the situation would never have arisen with Eon.
