Egg/CSO - Received a letter!

Hi all
I've obviously heard about PPI claiming etc but believed I'd never had any cover anywhere to claim back. However I've received a letter today from Canada Square Operations saying that I had PPI with an Egg Loan, which is news to me!
They are asking me to fill in a questionnaire and send it back. Most of the questions they are asking I don't know the answers to. I certainly don't have any paperwork. I think the loan is over 6 years old as it isn't on my credit report that I pulled off December 2012.
Has anyone sent these forms back with limited information and got anything back?
Thanks for your help.

Yes they have. It all depends on your reasons for complaint. You don't need lots of things. You just need one identifiable decent reason. Hearsay and verbal unprovable allegations are weak. So, if you want to complain, just put what you know .I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
Would the fact that I didn't know I even had it count??!!0

Not if you've simply forgotten (or failed to read) what you agreed to.iamashoppingaddict wrote: »Would the fact that I didn't know I even had it count??!!
You can accuse them of charging you PPI without your knowledge, but your signed agreement would be evidence they have to the contrary.0 -
So basically no point in filling this form in and sending it back really is there?! I don't recall ever agreeing to it, it was quite some time ago so I have no paperwork at all anywhere and no complaint as such?!0

You can fill it in saying you (honestly) have no memory of agreeing to it.iamashoppingaddict wrote: »So basically no point in filling this form in and sending it back really is there?!
If their subsequent investigation reveals a different failure you may still get a refund.0 -
Thanks. I'll fill it in and see. I just don't remember setting the loan up tbh, I remember paying it off though and being quite pleased!! lol0
