Conflict about repainting the walls
Comments
-
It really does depend on the state of the house in the first place. Where I lived last year we moved into a flat with marks up the walls, a couple of burns in the carpets.. One of the windows was missing part of the catch system as well. When I signed off after moving in I attached pictures to the itinerary showing what was there already.
I lived with a couple of messy individuals (put politely) and the whole flat was in a worse state than when we moved in. We didn't get charged anything against our deposits, probably because of the state it was already in.
What I'm trying to get across is if the place wasn't in tip top contition when you moved in, I'm not sure a few greasy marks on the walls will make much of a difference.
On the other hand, if you really do want to do something about it, I had a friend who painted part of his wall in his house before moving out, same colour that you're talking about in fact, and you really couldn't tell the difference. Bottom line is if they take money off someone to repaint a wall, they won't do the whole thing as it will cost them more than they'll want to pay.. I'm sure if you look hard and long enough you will see patches on some of the walls already.
If I was you I'd leave it. If you're that worried then paint it with a tester pot (3 quid). After all you're probably just painting over a section that the previous students painted a year ago!0
