Agency vs Independant

I sometimes use agencies to get work for me but they always have to ring me first before they put me forward to check that it's something I want to do or a place I want to work for.
Is it possible that they will be interviewing over a couple of weeks before appointing? So it wouldn't matter if you went earlier or later - all candidates will be given an equal chance? Is there any way you can find out from them what their recruitment process will be?0 -
Interview is tomorrow so I either take it or wait and see if i get shortlisted0

I think this is the best advice. I've been in this situation before too--on both sides working in HR and searching for work! Be very diplomatic, polite, and honest and explain the situation. They will not hold it against you, it's a matter of where you applied and who contacted you first.
Agencies come across this type of scenario ALL THE TIME, they will not take it personally. But they will remember you being honest and upfront in the future should you need to continue working with them.0 -

If this is one unique job, then it seems particularly unlikely that the school would be offering different timescales for interviews.
If there is more than one actual position (or one is "temp to perm"), then it is more understandable.
Any way, I'm not going to guess any more.0
