Software for Prospect Leads and Live Clients

Options
I am currently using an Excel spreadshet . One sheet has a list of prospects that I need to send a marketing letter to and another is for ones that I have already contacted but need to follow up with a phone call and the 3rd sheet is my live clients and details of my bookings.

Is there any software (prefer free) that can handle this better as I am risking duplication.

    Hi,
I recently came across a couple of fantastic looking systems that could do exactly what you're after. I've not installed/used them for real myself, but the online demo's look really good.

    SnapCRM:
Basic functionality & a support forum is free, if you install on your computer - looks reasonably easy to set up. You can pay for them to host it, & for extra features.

    vTiger CRM:
All functionality is free, but you pay for any support. You have to install it on your computer, & the install looks more complicated so you may need some techy help.

They're both based around having a team using them, so they may be overkill for your needs.
Try Googling for free CRM (Client Relationship Management) software - you might find something I've missed.

Let us know how you get on.

EDIT: I didn't realise how old the thread was; I just searched for marketing software threads o avoid duplicating. Hopefully this is still of use to someone.
