hyperlinks not opening in IE7

Hello.
I have a problem with clicking hyperlinks in internet explorer 7 in vista.

i use firefox as my main browser but sometimes i use explorer too e.g. when i want to access two hotmail accounts at the same time.

anyway my problem is whenever i click a hyperlink it does not open. i have to rightclick and open in new tab. this is really annoying me.

all hypelinks open fine in firefox.

any suggestions? thank you in advance :)

Close IE and try running it with add-ons disabled: click Start - Run - type iexplore -extoff - OK. If it works now it points to a badly behaving add-on. If not, in IE try Internet Options - Advanced - Reset.

    Also, see if this helps.

Using a bit of trial and error. Tools - Internet Options - Programs tab - Manage add-ons. Show 'Add-ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer' and disable one or two at a time to find the culprit.

Some anti-spyware or privacy programs put add-ons and extra icons in IE and you can usually disable them via the program itself.
