IPod video AV out adaptor ?

The poles (ground/video/audio left/right) on the IPod video-out are different to the poles on, say an Archos media player.
If I had a product that connects to the Ipod video, but I now want to use that product with say, an Archos, is there a little adaptor that can be connected between the two units that can convert the poles (ground/video/audio left/right) from Ipod standard to Archos ?
I've seen 2.5mm to 3.5mm av adaptors (same poles), but can't find an adaptor for this.
