Looking for my sister...where to start??

I am now 25, and when I was 11, I found out my step mother was having a baby, who was dads. At the time I found out I was also told that I was not allowed to see my dad anymore!! Although my mum and dad were divorced, it caused me a lot of distress, as my father did not have the guts to tell me himself. A few years ago when I had moved in with my now husband I found out that my father lived only a street away, with yet another woman!!!

One day I confronted him about his cowardly behaviour and have seen him several times although we have now moved house, maybe once or twice a year. He has even had contact with both of my children.

The thing is I know I have a half sister who by my reckoning should be about 14. I have asked my father if she knows about me, but it seems she doesn't, which really upsets me as I would like to get to know her and let her meet my children. I have seen 1 picture of her which was taken when she was about 2 years old. But I would love to meet her.

I don't know how to trace her, I know her mothers name and the street/town they used to live in and her mothers maiden name but what do I do???

I know it sounds stupid but I would love to be a big sister to her and be a part of her life.

Sorry it is so long.
Proud to be me, proud to be who I am!!

If you are still in contact with your father would he not give you details of how to get in touch or any of his family, maybe they could point you in the right direction. If not how about an ad in the local paper. Good luck.
I can only please one person per day.
    Today is not your day.
Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

    Be very careful :)

I wish you all the best but you are dealing with a 14 year old girl here who is likely to be a mass of hormones at the best of times

My best suggestion would be to use an official and experienced company (NORCAP springs to mind) who will have councellors on hand for both you and your sister.

    softly softly and all that.....
