Co-op bank and hols

I am going on my hols ina few weeks. If the co-op goes tits-up will I still be able to use my hole-in-the wall card in spain?

    If the Co-Op goes "tits-up" I expect the answer would be 'no'. On the other hand, I don't expect that anything that drastic will happen to the Co-Op Bank, so you should be OK. (Back up payment methods are always a good idea, tho'.)

    Regardless of what bank you normally use most - - never go on holidays with just one card as your only source of funds.

    If you, for whatever reason, can't have a credit card or a secondary debit card, then at least get yourself a pre-paid card or some other means of backup-access to money.

    If your credit rating is reasonable, I'd suggest that you try to get a better card for overseas spending. Co-op will charge you a lot, you can get free foreign transactions from certain Halifax, Nationwide, Santander or Norwich & Peterborough cards.

    Where are all these co-op going to the wall coming from?

    Far more chance of your holiday company going bust, than the co-op.

    If it's a Co-op Bank card, no.
