Received A NOTICE OF INTENDED PROSECUTION - Aparently I jumped a red light and was caught on camera, I didn't even know. Totally stressed out.:( :( :

Has anyone ever been caught driving through a red light, Any Help, Advice and experiences will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Relax - it happens! Just pay the fine! Life's too short to get stressed about things like this.

I just paid one for driving in a bus lane. Not happy but it was my own fault as I assumed (wrongly) that the bus lane rule did not apply on a Sunday.

Expect a fine in the region of £60/£70 plus costs of probably in the region of £40. You can also expect an endorsement on your licence of 3 points

This isn't really a fine/prosecution though - in London, Ken Livingstone just sends you a bill for £50 if you use the bus lane. If you have to get somewhere urgently, sometimes the £50 charge might be worth it.

Plead guilty by post, pay the fine, tell your insurance company, be thankful you are here to do all that, jumping red lights can cause injury and death.

Better to be late in this life than early in the next.

If you didn't even know you drove through the light then be thankful its not a due care summons.

dont plead guilty , mistakes are made ,ask to see the photo . an NIP is a witness statement , you must return it but you dont have to sign it and they cant use a witness statement unless it has been signed dont admit nuffin until you see the evidence

Did you just make that up ? a witness statement is a statement taken from a 'witness', that being a person who 'witnessed' something and can provide some form of evidence, such a statement is taken on a form MG11 and its continuation MG11a. An NIP is about as far from a statement as your post is from reality, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing and it seems you have a little knowledge.

OP please ignore this post, he's making it up as he goes along.

It's no different to being flashed by a speed camera.
