If so, is it worth having, what benefits have you noticed yourself, any problems to watch for etc, etc?I haven't been asked to tell you that I'm the [highlight]Board Drunk[/highlight] for this board. I have only used it on Win98SE, whilst using it's functions caused absolutely no problems it was very much trial an error squeezing the life out of other things such as VGA drivers etc. This program ONLY removes MS components which frees up resources both space & performance.
If you want to go further you will have to be comfortable deleting & restoring files. It's best to do this on a new install after backing up your data as appossed to jumping in and rolling your sleeves up.0 -

Just to give you an idea...... The system folder of Win98SE is around 200mb after using this program the system folder was a massive 9.5mb so that's a massive saving of 190.5mb
The above figures allowed me to do the same eg surf net, use office blah blah blah.
If you play games then you WILL require more of your VGA files some are essential to achieve the 3D appearance of the games.

I just played with the system, those whom really used it used it with HyperOS and created dual boot systems.
Using a barely functional Win98 running only maintainence tools Backup, Scandisk & Defrag would allow your entire system maintainence to take minutes to backup, seconds to defrag and running scandisk is almost instant.0 -

Unfortunately, my new comp was bought just after buying my first house, so I haven't had any real time to play with XP.
