Re this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4618817 I am still having problems regarding my car and this garage, and would be so grateful if someone could advise me of a plan of action, as I really don't know what to do next.
The garage have just phoned me now saying that they had trouble sourcing the part they needed (tank sender unit), so had to go down a different route, and replace the non return valves instead. When I asked for a price, he said "oh, nothing's been wrote down, just come through and we'll sort it out then", I told him no, I wanted someone to phone me back with a price. I've got a feeling it is going to be high, I don't know why, I just do.
I also feel I shouldn't be paying anymore, when we originally paid £2500....but they are saying this is a different fault. I don't think so, as when I took it in, it was coming up with the same error messages as before, and then they say a totally different part needs replaced, and also, when we went to pick it up, they told us it was fine, it was sorted, and then it breaks down 200 yards from the garage!
I don't know where to go from here, I could cry
I still think they haven't sorted the original problem out properly, or else why would it be coming up with the same error messages?
What should my next plan of action be? Letter, trading standards??
Thank you if you've read this far (and the other thread), I really appreciate it.
