help advice please

I missed a payment by 3 days on a cc with 0% deal so paid it off with in a few days of finding I'd been late. this was in nov. I'm now looking to change mortgage will this be bad on my credit check?

    Check your credit file and see what it was marked as.

    just checked using my name & I have a 982 but will this be the same for my hubby or do we need to check his too?

    This score means nothing.

    One late payment in itself isn't usually a problem, but if you have more then there will be a cumulative effect. You should check the relevant account data on your credit file to see if there are any late payment markers (basically not a 0 or ?) next to the months.

    i think it had a 0 so what does that mean then?

    I don't get why we are told to check our credit score if it means nothing?

    Check your file, not your score; i.e. that factual data like payments history/status etc.

    The "score" is just the credit agencies guess at how things might look to a lender, and is next to useless as no two lenders ever have the same criteria or concerns. It is a waste of money.
