Good evening
I have been busy today, but not much to show for itI have spent a lot of the day doing accounts - 2012/13 are nearly done (I am not normally in this position until January! - just before the deadline!!) I also did a food shop and a little paid stuff.
After dinner the four of us (me, DH, DS & DD2) attacked DD's bedroom! The sofa bed has been brought downstairs (that was tricky- and very heavy - but the walls in the hall are still intact!). I need to remove the covers & wash them & then get it on ebay. Even if it goes for a tenner at least it will be gone! We then shifted some furniture and got rid of lots of dust bunnies that appear to breeding in there! Unfortunately, the bed has not been built as planned2 holes that the legs are supposed to fit into are bent  so it needs to go back! Luckily we won't have to return the mattress
We also need to return the blinds. They have changed the sizes & I didn't realise  I thought it was a straight replacement, but they are now about 8 inches shorter than they were, and they were just the right size previously :mad: And the price had gone up a lot! I will call them tomorrow to see if we have to take the whole bed back, or just the 2 bent bits.
On the plus side, the new dish drainer looks niceI also managed to eat a frog & phoned tax credits. I haven't done my renewal yet as I haven't received it. I am really trying to keep on top of these things
Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them0 -

That's what I find GI. It takes an absolute age and in some ways you have dealt with a huge frog, but in other ways, you don't feel you have ticked many things off the list.
Well my 20 min powerwalk with friend turned into a full blown family affair, including dog, culminating in a few rounds at her pubHad a lovely night though watching the sun setting over the mountains from her raised beer garden. Life is hard sometimes
Decluttering junk and debt in 2016
Debts - Vanquis £3500 1/1/16; DFD - when I'm dead with £100,000,000+ interest  UPDATED Feb 2016 £2739.80; DFD June 2016 :j
Next - £1500 1/1/16 DFD about 10 years time. UPDATED Feb 2016 £1371.16; DFD July 2016 :j
THE GOAL IS TO HAVE NO DEBT BY THE END OF 20160 -
Good morning all
The sun is already shining and it's going to be another lovely day. Time for OH to mow the lawns for the last time, especially as we've got friends round for a meal tonight and the place has still got to look presentable somehow.
Yesterday I packed up 12 small and 7 large boxes from the office. And that was after decluttering. I must have thrown the equivalent of a whole drawerful of old bills out of the filing cabinet. And there is still enough stuff in odd places around the room to fill at least one more large box - except that I need most of the things that aren't packed on a day-to-day basis until Monday, such as my computer. But it's a good start, and at least I felt that I had achieved something when I finally fell into bed last night- I've certainly still got the aching back to prove it!
Today I will deal with the shed (small, and all ready to go once the lawn is done) and the spare bedrooms (mostly children's toys, bedlinen and towels). But I'll start by folding the washing and ironing 3 shirts, which will allow OH to get his beauty sleep :rotfl:
Good to hear that the flybabies are doing well :T
Welcome to Mrs Flydog - you'll love it at HB's :smileyhea
Dusty, don't be hard on yourself. Enjoy the summer while it's here - no doubt there will be plenty of rained-off cricket matches later in the season.
Please help yourselves to (((hugs))), spoons, sticks and :coffee: - I haven't packed them!0 -
Hello ladies.
Love to read good news about our expectant fly ladies.
Dusty thinking of you.
Bossymoo I saw all sorts of shapes and sizes on my hols last week. I'm sure you will be fine. I'd send you my Sarongs but my case is still AWOL.
DD2 has sprained her ankle. It is horribly bruised and swollen. The precautionary x-ray showed no fracture. She's in alot of pain. Our family's 100% record at sports day looks to be in jeopardy.
I did get round to putting 3 things on eBeast. It's just so time consuming. I want to be outside!0 -
Morning all
Weather promises to be good today so another day for laundry catch up.
Hoping DS1 has almost finished his packing, he seems quite organised.
Plan
WM1 to be put on and then onthe line
Water a few plants outside once dressed
Off to check traffic reports, I find driving to the airport very stressful. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Mumto5 that is bad news about your case, hope your DD's ankle improves, have you tried ibu gel on it?The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
