never seen sock ons, they looks brill, my elsest was always ripping her socks off or they would get lost in the bottom of the pram or cosytoes. think these must have been invented once mine were too old to need them

pigeon is 'apparently' being collected within the hour -that was 50 minutes ago. so why tell me they were coming between 2-4.

fridge is still being worked on, ive now pulled all the little shelves off the door washed the inside of the door down and scrubbed all the shelves, they are on the draining board at the mo, im having a coffee then going to dry them and put them back on.

ill be home alone first first time in ages tomorrow night so im going to have a mega ironing session then and clear the basket.

need to put fridge back together then ring mil to say were round tonight to mow etc, hoping if we do it tonight we can enjoy any decent weather we get at the weekend - you watch it rain now.

  • Bedding dry and back indoors. Finished work, came home and mowed the back lawn and then got the lobbers and the saw out and decluttered dead branches out front.

DD has just tried all last years holiday clothes on and only 2 tops fit  She's only 9 and wears either age 12 stuff or ladies 8/10 now. They've hardly been worn too so it's really frustrating. I've told her she needs to start getting out of her school uniform when she comes in and get some of what's left worn.

Just had dinner from The Takeaway Secret book. Southern fried chicken, corn on the cob, sweet potato wedges and coleslaw. Very tasty, but next time I think I'll just bung the chicken in the oven rather than frying it. (a) it's cheaper - I had to go out and buy oil and (b) it's healthier. We don't tend to fry anything here, other than onions/mushrooms/peppers to start off a meal (spag bol type stuff) and I found it really "icky".

Right, off to take DD to Brownies now and then head in the opposite direction to go to Theatre Club. We supposed to be "books down" tonight and I've not had chance to look at the play since last week. Gonna be in trouble :rotfl:

I'll see if I can fly later, although at 9.30 I'll be thinking about wine rather than remaking our bed and hoovering. A girls gotta get her priorities right, right?

tell them they have 15 minutes to collect it or it is being dumped at RSPCA (who neck them instantly) .. I'd have had my uncle round who would have shot it on sight!

Squeak just had an accident on the floor.. and it wasn't a moppable one... ...

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • DD now at Brownies so I shall remake the bed and declutter a cuppa before I head off out again. Wacky Wednesday as usual.

My DD is also tall for her age - tallest in the school (Y5) and because she does no exercise other than PE at school (a major bookworm), she has always been on the big built side of the scale. Still within healthy guidelines, but she is enormous compared to everyone else her age.

This bed won't get made sitting here chatting so off I trot ........

    :

Mrs M I have a purple iPod shuffle if it would be any use to you.
    Hardly used.

Not done much today. Traffic was horrendous on way to horse piddle. So I abandoned car and got the tram. The hospital bus only let 4 people on. Appointment was for 9am but I had arranged to go later as had to put ds2 on his bus. Clinic ran very late and I was seen about noon. Good news ops have been put on hold as I have over 16 cyst nodes (whatever they are) and not all will cause problems. If any get infected again I have to go straight back. Surgeon asked if I had any questions and I answered no stupidly.
As I had a tram ticket I popped into The city for a nosey. :D got a few things from LL and a top for my reunion next week. :o
Picked up Ds2 meds was expecting 2 items but they had everything on his repeat for me. Couldn't be bothered arguing.
Popped into local butchers for some chicken.
Just bathed Ds2 and cut his nails (that's what the screaming you probably all could hear)
    3xwm done

Better see what needs doing xx
