What do you keep in the glove box?

Not much in mine:
A multi-pack of Polos - I suck them most of the time I'm driving as they help to keep my mouth moist (I used to suffer panic attacks and the first thing that happened was a dry mouth and I've kinda got used to them)
Insurance/breakdown details
Car service book
packet of tissues - no idea why as I've always got some in my handbag
Odd bits of paper, old receipts etc

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Apples cores, empty crisp packets and sweet wrappers, numerous old car park tickets and petrol receipts....."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
-
Mobile phone charger
Mobile phone windscreen mount for Sat Nav
Tissues (bad allergies)
Small notebook and pen
Sometimes the stereo headunit and dash cam depending on where i'm parked. All your base are belong to us.0 -
Currently there is a satnav, iPod, tin of mints, leatherman tool and a couple of memory cards.0
-
A couple of fun-size bin bags from back in the days when I was on the road all the time due to my job
Manuals for the car radio, and the adjustable front camber bolts
Defi Link Controller II and Defi VSD-X Controller, since the glovebox has convenient holes in the back for the wiring and I didn't want to do what most people do and install them at the side of the centre console or under the dashboard. Also removes any temptation to fiddle with the settings while driving.
Eventually a Blitz SSBC will turn up next to them, once I figure out how to plumb it in. It's been sat in a bag in the house for about two years now.0 -
First aid kit
Pen
3D glasses (2 adult - 1 child)
Car manuals are in there also but in a drop down section, not in main glove boxTotally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0 -
Used to keep a rubber realistic looking hand in mine.
Now I've grown up it's full of boring stuff.
Noticed no one keeps CDs in theirs anymore.0 -
Old but still working mobile phone and charger.
Insurance certificate.
Torch.
Sat nav (when it's not on the windscreen).
Small format but comprehensive road map book.
Parking vouchers for the area around my work place .
Vehicle handbook.
Spare reading glasses (driving glasses are in the door storage as I know I'll need them on every trip).0 -
From memory our glove box has:
Phone, generic USB, Satnav chargers.
A 3 way adaptor for the lighter socket.
"over the top" sun glasses (the sort you can wear over normal glasses).
A plug in torch with 6 foot cable and magnetic back (it's ancient, but works and is potentially handy).
A small "squeezy" torch where you squeeze the trigger to charge it's internal capacitor which powers it.
A couple of packs of travel tissues.
A couple of print outs of routes.
Pencil.
The boot is more interesting, as it's got all the stuff for incase we break down, including several pairs of rigger/builders gloves for doing the tyres etc.0
