Someone at Wetherspoons in Oswestry has either got their sums wrong or is naff at stock rotation, as they've got a handwritten sign on the bar selling 8oz rump steak and chips for £3.99 (usually £8.50). I don't usually eat steak, but mine was wonderfully thick and very well cooked. Looked a lot more than 8oz too. I'm assuming the kitchen have got to use it up today - if not I'll be back for my tea tomorrow! Short notice I know, but thought it would be useful to anyone passing by.

The cheapest Spoons I have found anywhere in the country for the Club deals (Steak on Tue, Curry on Thur and Roast on Sun) is the White Lion of Mortimer, Stroud Green Road, London. All of the club deals, including either an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink, are £5.25. They also do the cheapest coffee of any Spoons I have ever been to!0
