Hi am just about to order some more cat food from zooplus probs and wondering whats the difference between Botiza Feline Tetra and the normally ones.

I am looking at getting the Indoor & Sterilised which description say's;
For house cats, senior cats and castrated cats
-Helps your cat maintain its ideal weight
With Swedish chicken for fantastic flavour and digestibility
With L-carnitine for activation of your cat’s metabolism
93 % meat content **
Chicken (min. 90%), pork, calcium carbonate, yeast (ß-1.3/1.6-glucan, 0.01%), L-carnitin (0.001%).

Says has 93% Meat content compared to the normally Jelly vs which has Rich in Chicken:
Chicken (50%), pork, calcium carbonate, yeast (ß-1.3/1.6 glucan 0.01%).

But the Jelly Chicken or Gravy vs is more expensive than the Feline Tetra packs.

Has anyone used the Feline ones are they same texture as the jelly version?

She doesn't like the tinned version or any tinned food tried butchers and smilla tins and turned nose up at both. Have favourite food is Applaws Chicken & Cheese but to expensive to feed and she only really likes chicken flavours. Can anyone suggest something along those lines she may like? She does like whiskers and felix but we try not to feed this.

EDIT: Just realised you dont get as much in the Feline ones duh its only 190g compared to 370g of the normal vs

I've tried the Bozita Tetra packs , but haven't tried the others so can't say how they compare, I was impressed with how meaty the food was, unfortunately my cats weren't so impressed.

I use Porta 21 which is very like Applaws in appearance, but a lot cheaper, there is a good bit of jelly in the chicken one, less in the fish, it comes in tins.

My cat likes botiza but not as much as applaws. Thanks for the recommendation may get the chicken to try. Was going to buy Applaws Pate selection as its about 3.99 for 6x100g not a complete food but nice for a treat. My mum sometimes buys whiskers or gourment cat food as a change from supermarket but these are 50p a pop as its a waste to buy the multi-packs with my cat as she only really likes chicken and sometimes tuna.

Is the porta 21 look the same as the applaws normal cat food? It looks like shredded chicken in a light jelly/gravy I think.

I googled it and it looks the same :D

Do you get the tins? they sell satchets as well.

The Feline Tetra packs are only just over half the size of the others and seem to recommend you feed more so could be very expensive. The ones I bought (Indoor and sterilised) were the same texture as the pate ones.

Yes it looks just the same, finely shredded chicken, it's wetter than Applaws though, when you first open the tin it looks like solid jelly on the top.
I get the tins, didn't realise they do satchets too :), will have a look as Id prefer satchets, they don't get bashed in the post.
Porta is listed as being supplementary, I also feed kibble so it's not a problem for me, but thought you should be aware.
I'm not sure why it's listed as supplementary, it has taurine in it, anyone know the answer ?

Sounds fab I probs stick to feeding botiza must of the time but its nice to have a change now and again and even if its not complete its probs better than whiskers/felix anyway. I do put dry biscuits down but only small amount as it goes to waste. I got burns chicken and rice and she isn't that keen. She likes the dogs applaws so persuading my mum to get her applaws as well lol. What dry do you feed yours?

I'm trying to find something that will suite them with dry at the mo, they are both 7 months old and came from their breeders on Royal Canin, which I'm not wild about
. Mungo can eat anything, but Savi gets the squits really easily, ideally Id have them on Orijen, but that has Savi running for the nearest litter tray .
There's a Porta dry food, tried that, gave her the squits, so once she's back to normal I'm going to try Applaws dry, if that's no good, I'll give Arden Grange a bash.

Mine LOVES Cosma Thai/Glory for a wee treat. She only gets it occasionally but it looks like something you could have on toast.

The only thing she hasn't eaten is the quail's egg :rotfl:.

Sorry, meant to add I've always "bought" it through the rewards scheme on Zooplus.

Yeah orijen is very expensive and is also very high in protein so quite rich. When we tried Milly with applaws cat samples she wolfed the whole sample (think was about 100g) in about 5 secs flat and she never does that with dry. Anyway she had upset stomach quite bad all day. However she eats the dogs all the time and is fine because its small amounts. Best to mix it in with there normal dry food a couple of weeks. We where feeding whiskers dry food before that and wet so can imagine how rich applaws is.

She literally will have a cat bowl full and it will last her around 3-4 days and we have to throw some out. I don't like to feed dry all the time as its not meant to be good for cats. It can cause kidney problems and they have to increase water intake.

I just put dry down as she goes out alot during the day and so its a waste leaving wet food out for the fleas to get at. Milly isn't eating much at the moment due to the hot weather she put a kg or so on over winter eating 3-4 bowls a day and barely going out due to snow. Now she barely eats 2 and is out for hours little terror. She is 9 so classed as a senior but shows no signs on it. She never had any health problems ever but then she is a moggy so they a little tougher than pedigrees. My dog is always at the vet for one thing or another and she is a pedigree.

Applaws will send you out a free sample of both the dry and wet food so pretty good. I heard burns is meant to be good but mine just isn't fussed on it (dog likes it but won't eat the dog version of burns work that out)

Cosma is quite expensive so bit of a stretch for mum to pay. She wouldn't go near the Cosma glory lol she had Botiza shrimp I think and vomited everywhere.

I just stick to chicken as she likes that its the only proper meat she will eat as well. Turns her nose up at prime irish beef and bacon lol.

I had the whole " wet or dry " argument with my friend who owns a pet shop and runs the local cat rescue. She was adamant cats were fine on just dry, butI just can't accept that's good for them. Mine have dry out for grazing and fed wet twice a day.
My two cats are a relatively new breed and still get out crossed , I think Savi has more Persian in her background than Mungo, which might account for her delicate tum.
I'd just like to find a food that doesn't read like a list of chemicals .
I've even tried them on raw as I used to feed my dogs a raw diet, didn't go down well at all.
