I recently had a successful claim for PPI from Santander (Alliance and Leicester) on an old loan that I had the agreement for. I asked them to look for another loan but they can find no record of it, as it was over six years ago. I have sent copies of my Nat West Bank statements which show payments being made to A and L loans but they say they have no record so can do nothing. I also sent a statement which shows a cheque paid in for the amount of the car loan. Is there anything I can do? Thank you

A bank statement and a cheque paid in does not mean that you had the PPI or that it was paid to term end.
A Sar request for information may be of no use to you or Santander, have no account number for this loan, a Sar costs £10, you could chance it and see if it throws anything up.
