Barclaycard Breathe

Seems BC are to start offering a new 'green' card. 50% of the profits from Barclaycard Breathe will go to a new charity group set up to counter climate change/carbon offsetting. Also the card will be made of environmentally friendly material. I take it they mean plastics of some sort...and not wood.

I am wondering wether or not to apply for this. It is appealing to me I have an ordinary b'card so would stop spending on that and use this new one.
Has anyone else applied yet?

You cannot apply if you already have a Barclaycard, you need to call them and ask if you can have it changed. It also seems you can get one as an additional card, I think even in your own name. That part does not makes sense to me, but is what I have been told by them. I have an inital card and only had it two months so I was given a "not at the moment, please call back when your account is open 6 months".James

Right have applied - you can't apply online if you already have an existing barclaycard account though for some strange reason. will let you know if I am accepted in due course...

When I spoke to them they said I could apply for it as an additional card - I then asked if I could then cancel my existing barclaycard and the lady said yes. Have had my b'card forever so hopefully I will get accepted??

Strange have been sent an application form in the post now - not sure if this is a separate application or part of the one I did over the phone? Best ring them...
