Simply Switch Cashback rules - help please!

Hi, I'v looked through the FAQ's and T&C's on the Simply Switch website and cant find the answer to my Q, so wondered if you had any opinions please:

I need to switch energy provider as my current deal ends later this month. My EXISTING provider just so happens to be the cheapest available, and Simply Switch offer them as one of my 'switching' options, with £40 cash back!

Now it's unclear whether I qualify for the cash back. Are the rules usually about switching SUPPLIER or is it on switching TARRIF???

In the quote/compare stage it asks for existing supplier details, so my thinking is that if I've given the correct info and then they've offered me that same supplier deal, I should qualify. Right?

It being a Sunday I cant ring them to ask:cool:

Thanks for your input!!

You will not normally get cashback for switching tariff.

Thanks guys - I saw those. I just thought it odd that I would input all my existing supplier info into the search engine and then have it come up as one of my offers. Maybe just a glitch. Oh well

All accredited comparison sites will show you all the generally avialable tariffs from all the suppliers, including your own.

Whether the comparison site wishes to allow you to switch via them is their decision. Maybe there is something in it for them if you do? Maybe it's just a service they offer?
