Health Insurance

Hi all

Absolutely no idea if what am about to say exists but starting to look today. 'Operation sort my life out' so to speak

I suffer from Crohns disease. its chronic so despite how careful i can be, and my current treatment (infliximab infusion every 8 weeks) it can flare up any time. Is nearly two years since diagnosis, and since then i lost my original job as a result (was to weak to fight that ridiculous decision at the time) which put me in the poop big time

What am looking for is
  • something that would cover wages if i am sick with it, SSp doesnt even cover rent
  • somethign that would cover wages if i need an operation (90% likely at some point)
Does this kind of thing exist or where would be best to find out?
Not up with insurace at all, never dealt with it in any form (dont drive, rent home etc)

The longer term plan is to have some savings to cover anything, but with living alone and no one around to help if these happen, have been caught in a circle somewhat

Many thanks for any advice

Kevin
