Obtaining court records

Hi all,

I'm having real difficult getting access to court records re: various parking "fine" cases.

I'm after various Cooke / Perera cases heard in Rhyl County Court as ones at Liverpool also.

I've been told so much rubbish it's unbelievable. I've been told I can't access the records as I'm not party to proceedings, when I quote the Civil Procedure Rules at them, they say I need to write in. Letters ignored, then referred to the district judge even though I'm just looking for records from an open session not in chambers.

Anyone else had any more luck? And please no advice from armchair lawyers - yes there are quite a few on here whose legal training is formed from assumption, prejudice and RUMPOLE OF THE F KING BAILEY.

And you want advice here, sorry I don't appear to be qualified enough for you. But best of luck with your condescending request for help!
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Thats me out as well, I only try to help people even if not legal qualified. You'll be hard pressed to find a lawyer who goes on forums. Try on pepipoo.com, there are legally trained people on there but leave the attitude at home or you won't be helped.

    Really? Who?

Here are some reliable sources about cases including the Perera one:

    http://www.penaltychargenotice.co.uk/private-land-enforcement/court-cases/court-cases-for-private-parking-tickets/

    http://www.lep.co.uk/news/local/trainee-solicitor-wins-parking-ticket-case-for-brother-1-777088

You don't need the actual 'case wording' in order to cite it and unless there was a transcript paid for at the time by one party or the other, there will be no record of what was said exactly.

If you are a PPC troll then get a real job.

    :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the links, but I was really after the exact judgement. Sometimes problems arise when things are paraphrased or people get the wrong end of the stick etc.

As for bad advice, people on here are still saying ignore private 'tickets' - stuff like that is what I'm referring to. Not replying to a private ticket eventually means a judgement in default.

I don't remember anyone recommending this on here or pepipoo, nor do we ever say to ignore any court papers. Just thought I'd mention that before the OP does. Its much more fun to cost the ppc the popla fee.
