Thomsons, cheaper nearer departure date?

Myself and my partner are thinking of going to Majorca with Thomsons to a 4* Half board hotel. Its currently 6 weeks on Tuesday that we would like to fly and their website is showing it at £611 each.
Is the price likely to get cheaper nearer the time? We don't mind booking a few days before to get it cheaper with the risk that we may get nothing and do something in the UK instead.
Thanks

It is likely that it will get cheaper, but you also run the risk of it going up. Have you tried seeing what the cost would be DIY, i.e. hotel on https://www.trivago.co.uk , flights from https://www.skyscanner.net and a transfer with https://www.balearictransfer.com ?0

If your departure date is flexible you could look at Thomson's last minute deals where some good deals can be found0
