    Yeah that's correct but I think it can only be put into place prior to the payment hitting the account.

    why not open a basic bank account elsewhere and then negotiate repayment with NatWest; in that way your income will be protected from charges etc

    The only reason the OP is having issues is because the bank keep taking the bl**dy money in the first place!!!
    I think you'll find something else happened before that to create the charges.
