    Yeah that's correct but I think it can only be put into place prior to the payment hitting the account.

  • why not open a basic bank account elsewhere and then negotiate repayment with NatWest; in that way your income will be protected from charges etc

    Well it cuts to the chase.
    The only reason the OP is having issues is because the bank keep taking the bl**dy money in the first place!!!
    I think you'll find something else happened before that to create the charges.
