Forget the score...what detrimental information is on there? Late Payments, Defaults, CCJ's etc...

Don't pay any attention to the credit score, it's the actual information in the credit report you need to look at.

In order to lend us 'fiat currency' plucked out of thin air whilst anything that can be considered to have 'value' (land, houses etc..) is taken off us in exchange!!!

Please don't get me started on that!!!

For people to be able to advise you need to detail what is on your file.

A few historical late payments is unlikely to cause you major issues in obtaining credit now, but if you had many months of late payments / or defaulted on any account or had CCJs then these will continue to impact you for sometime after you have cleared up the debts.

You then need to look at the other information on your report -
Are you on the electoral roll and does this show on your report?Do you have any financial associations showing on your file etc?
