If you have bank details of your former friend then you can do an order against that, obviously it will only work if he has enough cash in the account(s) to satisfy the debt0

Thanks for the replies, yeah I'd basically decided to give up
it's possible I could find out where his new job is, as I know one of his friends who seems unaware of the money issue between us.
As I said, I definitely won't put anymore money into this, but if I can find out details of his new employment, do I have to pay out again for an attachment of earnings order?
I'm not counting on this, but if I can find out easily and don't have to pay out anything, I might try0 -
If you have an attachment of earns order then I'm pretty sure that is it a *criminal* rather than civil wrong if he changes employer and doesn't tell the new employer about the order0
