Have personally done most of the things on that list, and having been to Bangkok many times I would say that list is about as comprehensive and good, as anyone is likely to get.
Great find!0 -
I'm a bit surprised it doesn't include going to see a muay Thai match - I haven't done it myself but I think it deserves a place in a list of 68 things to do (possibly in place of some of the items that are not actually in or around Bangkok)..0

It's an absolute con, locals pay something like 50Baht, yet foreigners are expected to pay 1000Baht.0 -

Agree with Mr Wang it's painfully expensive. You'll pay around 1000 Baht, about 20 quid which for Thailand is an incredible amount of money. To be honest I wouldn't even pay that for a Muay Thai fight in the UK. Literally the cost for one ticket is the same as the cost for renting your own apartment in Bangkok for one night. It's even harder to take when you know the locals are paying so much less.
Still, regardless it's probably a must do thing in Thailand.0 -
Kanchanaburi and the River Kwai Valleys deserve more than a day trip, as does Ayutthaya the ancient capital of Siam.
Both are easy to reach by the atmospheric 3rd Class trains from Bangkok, have plenty of accommodation choices, and are a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city.0 -

Slight difference in wages over there, but I get your point I wouldnt go to a match again even though the one i went to only cost 400bht and included two great fights and a bout with fighting midgets which was worth the price of admission alone, what spoilt it was the plastic gangsters from Essex giving it large. Although it was highly entertaining to see a gobby lad take his chances with a Thai :eek:0 -

Well, I could think of a few more things but I don't think they would be suitable for a family website.
