Are red light cameras turned off in the West Midlands?
Options
I know that all regular speed cameras are turned off in the West Midlands, but does that include red light speed cameras as well?
There was a faulty set of lights in Birmingham (with no green or amber working) and the red light suddenly came on?
I found a link which states that "The last 73 of the region’s 305 speed and traffic light cameras were switched off " but i am not sure if the traffic light cameras are the red light cameras, or the cameras on top of the traffic lights?

Did you see a flash when you went through the 'faulty' red light?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

They'll only be switched off in the least profitable area's...... They much prefer randomly placed talivans these days.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I don't know about the red light cameras, but they recently used cameras at traffic lights to prosecute a significant number of street racers:

It may be worth reporting the faulty traffic lights to the local authority.0 -
Don't report the lights yet.
Go back there and film the fault. Try to get some proof of the date too (e.g. have today's newspaper in shot)
Then report the fault.
If the camera is active, the film will form part of your defence.0
