870x300 pullout base
870x600 - 3 drawer base
870x800 base - 2door

720x600 wall unit
720x600 wall unit
720x1000 wall unit-2 door
360x800 wall unit

Frankie siphon plumbing kit 1.0/1.5
510x1000 Frankie steel link 1.5
Plinth
Iris tap chrome
Tm plastic cutlery insert
602x3000x38 worktop laminate
602x4000x38 worktop laminate

Quote was some £3200....I offered £2600....after a bit of discussion, they said £2650 and they can't go any lower. This is without any appliances.

Does the price look ok? Or should I look elsewhere?

We had a quote from Wren and from that experience I'd say don't bite yet - they kept ringing and ring every couple of days, knocking more off and throwing more in to try to get us hooked in. You could probably get them 10% lower just by ignoring your phone for a few days.

I would personally get several quotes. I am paying about £21,500 for a complete kitchen from a reputable local independant kitchen showroom - broken down as follows:

RWK (German) units in lacquered gloss finish - £9,537
    2 x wall units (1000 width)
    2 x base units (1000 width)
    Sink unit (1000)
    Housing unit for dishwasher
Housing unit for 2 x ovens
    Tall larder with internal drawers
Tall housing unit for full length fridge
Tall housing unit for full length freezer
    Le-mans pull out corner unit

    + an Island - 1900mm x 1450mm with 4 x pull out drawers

    Bosch Appliances - £4,000
Elica ceiling mounted cooker hood - £1,600
Franke sink, plumbing kit & pull out spray tap - £609

    Quartz worksurfaces (20ml thick) - £3,580
Installation (dry fit, doesnt include plumbing or electrics) - £2,280

that to me ( someone who does bespoke lacquers ) seems very expensive for the amount of units

    Hi evokit,

That's interesting - I got 3 quotes (3 different independants), which ranged from £20 to £28k for the complete kitchen.

    Stoneham units - £13k
    Schuller units - £10k

When we got our kitchen done, in the end we plumped for a bespoke installation comprising solid platinum work surfaces, hand chiselled granite units and appliances including robotic features designed by NASA. Our cooker not only cooks, but intercepts brain signals to know exactly what we want for dinner, plucking the required items from the fridge preparing them based on Gordon Ramsey inspired software coding and, once cooked, placing on our dining table. Total cost was a snip at just £400,000.

Hope this helps you OP, with your £3k quote decision. ;)

Thanks Gavin. I just contacted your independents and they said my kitchen is much bigger thn yours and gave me quotes ranging 50k to 100k excluding appliances.

I have just got a Elica extractor from Ebay, half the price of what they are here.
