Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
Bought an approved used honda on wednesday from honda dealer 75 miles away. Unfortunaley it was raining when we looked at the car and took it for the test drive.

Looking at the car now there is damage to the bonnet in two areas which has been previously repaired. We did not notice it at the time and it was not pointed out to us.

Having paid just over £10k for the vehicle I am not very happy.
Honda have a 30 day exchange policy for an mechanical or electrical faults that occur and includes:
"The Honda Approved Used Car has developed a fault (being a mechanical fault or defect in materials or workmanship on the car) and such fault is apparent to the Dealer (acting reasonably);"

Any advice on my rights or how to approach the dealer would be appreciated.

Thanks
One day I will think of something profound or witty to use in my signature. But until then I'll just say cheers to all who contribute to MSE.

You can certainly ask, as a gesture of goodwill, if they will refinish the bonnet. However you did look at the car then, and liked it, and now, without any additional expertise, don't like it. Hopefully they will be onside, but if it hasn't changed appearance in the intervening period, they are certainly under no obligation to change its appearance as it was in plain sight when you inspected it.
