Plug Sockets

I need 2 double plug sockets to be moved about 3 feet straight down a wall in the kitchen and I have been quoted £120 which includes a Part P certificate.
I am supplying the sockets and I also have to plaster over the cut channel afterwards
Does this seem fair? I would appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks.

There is no such thing as a Part P Certificate.
This work is notifiable to your local Building Control Dept under Part P of the Building Regulations because it is in a kitchen (if it were in a bedroom it would not be notifiable). This is your responsibility but your electrician should do this for you. If he is a member of a Self Certification Scheme he can do this very cheaply through this body eg NICEIC, NAPIT or BSI.
If he is not a member of one of these schemes he must notify Building Control before he starts the work and pay a fee to them. This fee varies considerably around the UK from about £100 to £650, and possibly more.
There are many professional electricians who are not members of Self Certification Schemes because the charges for membership are quite high and only worth it if they do lots of domestic work.
Either way, you should be issued with a certificate called a MINOR ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION WORKS CERTIFICATE.
The form should look like this http://www.iee.org/Publish/WireRegs/Forms_2004.pdf
I agree with Baldelectrician, £75 seems more reasonable if he is in a Self Certification Scheme.
