Right here it goes, i usually get letters through the post thats just junk mail, bank statements etc.
I never open them and just throw them away - i dont need reminding what my balance is every month.
Ive got and had serveral credit cards since i were 18. Ive always had PPI as you never know what would happen.
Anywho last sept i stopped all my PPI as i was on maternity leave and it was an expenise i saw best to stop.
About a month ago i got a letter from MBNA stating that I was in a selected group of people that had possibly been miss sold PPI with a certain time period. My husband had opened it and was shocked that two of the things that would be claimable for for being mis sold were being temporary employed and long term health issues such as diabetes.
I am a type 1 diabetic and have been since i were 11.
I am shocked to find out that my PPI wouldnt have covered me if i were wanting to claim and i was off work due to my diabeties. I was never told this and obviously wouldnt have had PPI if i wasnt covered for this.
Has anyone else had a letter like this - I have been wrote back and its going to be looked at and ill be responded to within 28days - But id like to know if anyone has ever had this also
And if the case has anyone been successful??
I have heard about this PPI malarky but never done anything of it as i never understood it, but now its showing that could actually be eligable for a refund and if this is successful i would def go for it again with my other credit cards

We had a similar letter, filled in the paperwork needed, had a reply within the 28 days and a nice check in the post for over 4 grand in the following weeks. Hopefully you will to

Similar experience to other poster to be honest. I sent in details of temp work and it was all upheld rather quickly.
I got the impression that it may have been an auto payout thou as when I rang to see if they had got it they said it had been upheld. I mentioned that I had two others with mbna and chap said just because one was upheld the others might not follow suit.
That said, have sent in same reasons for other two so quietly hopeful
Hope that helps0
