I got a letter today re: PPI from MBNA which has made me think about my past debts and whether I should attempt a claim.
When I hit the legal age for borrowing I got myself in lots of debt and eventually took out a loan to consolidate a number of credit cards. I lost my job soon after and the insurance would not pay out, when I was sold it at the time they assured me it was worth getting for that very circumstance. This all happened about 13 years ago and I have no details of the loan or current account that I held with Natwest at the time.
Is there any way I could recover the account details to initiate a claim, I know which branch my account was at, could I write to them and ask for the details?

this is more of a claim issue that mis-sale. if you are arguing that your claim didnt pay out, you may well find you get time barred. you really need to be perusing a mis-sale complaint rather than complaint about a claim.I.
