Thanks Quackers. I got my little girl a pair of Ellen Rose size 7 1/2F in lilac. She is 5yrs but won't fit school shoes yet so will wear them for school. :j

Fruity, there are actually school shoes in 7.5F. Usually only a couple of styles but I know they exist! Try bigger stores if you can, they will have a better range.

I was quite disapointed with the boys collection (size 10) as there was only one style in two colours (brown and blue). I bought my daughter fusspot though.

Quackers will Funky Doo,Funky Day or Dee or anything Funky be on sale?

    thank you x

I doubt it very much in the Funky range. They are the company bestselling shoes so its not likely. ALthough I'm working in a kids only store for the next 6months - 1yr so I wont be as up to date with mens and ladies shoes as I usually am :o

Thanks very much Quackers. I would never have known the sale was on if you hadn't posted! Got my daughter some pretty pink trainers that light up, she was well impressed!! :j

Will this be the only sale before September? (the girl in the shop said she didn't know) Was wondering whether to take her to a bigger store to try and get her some shoes as she's starting school this year. Also she has narrow feet, was measured as a 7C, do you think I'll find anything to fit and are there any slimmer styles in the sales?

There's a girls shoe called Fusspot in the sale which I personally think is a slim fitting - its only £12 in the sale and might be worth a try in a 7E or even a 7F if you can find some to try. The pink and white are in the sale.

They've actually made them in black too ready for back to school in sept so might be worth trying if you start struggling.

There will not be another kids sale before sept.

Between now & sept is the busiest time of the year for Clarks - there is not a hope in hells chance of them reducing any school shoes :rotfl:

For anyone who's little ones are starting school for the first time and are buying shoes from Clarks do you mind if I give a little bit of advice.

The busiest time of the year is the last 2 weeks of August. Stocks are also low at this time and it can be a struggle trying to find small school shoes as there are not as many styles made.

It might be worth considering going shopping during the first 2 weeks of August if you can. It is still busy but not as busy as the following 2 weeks.

    :)

Hi Linzz, one of my daughter's measures a C width, and until she became a 13.5 (at just 6!!!) Clarks refused to fit her and instead advised Startrite as they do narrower shoes (that are much more expensive!!) I respected their honesty, but was pretty hacked of that my 3 yr old's shoes cost £38!!! We bought her Clarks trainers last week, which she has to wear to school as neither Clarks nor Russell and Bromley could fit her in ANY shoe!!!!!! We tried sale AND full (£40) price and still came home with nothing.
Just to balance it, my son has an 'H' width!!!! 2 girls are an E and the baby was measured a 5E, yet was fitted in a 5H:rotfl: It is a crazy world in Clarks:rotfl:

I went for these in blue 10.5G for DS3 for school/summer hols. He has had them on all day and said they were so comfy. I was not mad keen on the style but think they will turn out to be a great bargin. Got White trainers for him too which he is made up about.

Quackers is it worth buying ahead ie going up a size and putting them by? Do kids change width often and should you go up half or whole size? Thanks Dusty

Once little ones have passed the toddler stage (big fat pudgy feet :D ) then their feet 'tend' to stay the same width.

ITs really hard to recommend what to suggest if you want to buy ahead. Lots of people do it & have no probs.

The only thing that I would say is that each style really does fit differently. Some fit narrower/wider than others and some are higher cut around the ankle etc. So, you do have to be prepared for the possibility that they wont fit when the time comes - but then there's always ebay :rotfl:

Half or whole size? Again, it depends on how quickly their feet grow. I really cant answer that question. Sorry .:o

The blue shoes you are talking about (Dixon I think) are really nice. I like them. They are a nice soft shoe to go through the summer. Wil be casual but you'll be able to smarten them up if you wanted to. And they're a bargain :D:D
