My dd & I were looking at long haul destinations & the price for my 3 year old dgs, was the same as if 3 adults were sharing a room - I'm talking about AI.
Is this the same across all the big companies?

Probably depends on who you are looking to fly with, scheduled airlines tend to only offer a 25% discount on flights for over 2s and the taxes/surcharges are exactly the same. It can also depend on what the child age is at the hotel (some offer free children under 4/6 others don't). When and where are you looking to go?0

Package holiday from Gatwick to Mexico probably, other similar destinations are being considered.
Im off to the grand bahia principe esmerelda this year, from the reviews it seems pretty perfect.
I can understand the plane seat being full charge, but the hotel!
He eats like a toddler, wont be drinking & will be in a put up bed in his parents room.0 -
we usually holiday with thomson/first choice. last holiday we took our grandson on we went to spain all inclusive supposedly free child, but was a little more expensive than booking for 2 adults.
this year going to http://www.thomson.co.uk/destinations/europe/spain/lanzarote/playa-de-los-pocillos/hotels/clubhotel-riu-paraiso-lanzarote-resort.html, its full price for any child over the age of 20 -
We've just booked for mexico next easter with our 2 and 6 year old. We've booked directly with the hotel (as we've used avios for flights). The hotel (the beloved) charged an extra $40 per night for the 6 year old and nothing for under 4s. It may be worth speaking with an agent like caribbean warehouse as they are more flexible in how they put together the package than going directly to first choice or thomas cook. They offered a very good price for the accomodation, but as booking directly was an equivalent price I've done that (for now)!0

She will be getting married out there & the big tour ops do wedding packages.0 -
Maybe just get some comparisons as the saving may be more than booking the wedding directly with the hotel or the couple could book with the main operator, and the others through the agent or directly. Which hotels are you looking at and when?0

we got a quote from first choice or thomson a few year ago for 11 adults all inclusive. they offered a really good group booking price. roughly one went free.
if there are a few of you going MrsE you may be able to negotiate a good discount, might help to cover the price quoted for your child price0 -

I think everyone would rather book seperatly, booking the length & type of accommodation they want & ultimately keeping being responsible for their own costs.
I talked to the Carribean warehouse & found a good deal :-).
Very happy :-)
They also do wedding bookings. So it's a win win0 -
