I would recommend Welcome Family Holiday Park in Dawlish as a great place to visit if you prefer not to drive. Dawlish Warren train station is just 5 or 10 minutes walk away (no steep hills either!) and it is a great holiday park which has really good shows and entertainment. The beach is gorgeous and only a short walk away and they have chalets which sleep up to 9 people which can make it really good value for families with a railcard. :j:T

Seriously I think this is a valid topic. I would be interested to know which other holiday resorts in the UK have a holiday park within walking distance as I'm thinking of starting a holiday blog and this one topic I would use. I especially think that this would be of interest to families who live in London and don't have a car. So please add to thread if you know any other parks.

There are other places to stay nearby in Dawlish Warren, I think that Welcome is the nearest holiday park though, take a look at Tripadvisor.
