So, a while ago I got a letter from my Mr T credit card regarding PPI and did I think it had been mis-sold as they were reviewing all cards taken out between 2005 and 2008 and mine fell into that. They asked a couple of questions which i answered but included the circumstances in which I had taken out the PPI and I answered honestly that I didn't know as I couldn't remember that far back and coouldn't find the original paperwork. However, being a follower of Martin's I thought I might as well send it off and see what happened although I didn't expect anything of it. Anyway, they sent back and said they thought I'd been mis-sold and offered £457.70 so I gladly accepted and received that on Friday. Which goes to show it's always worth a punt! I also got paid back £200 I was owed and £100 from selling some stuff, plus this month there's no council tax so between all that I have made a PAD of

    £926.02

to clear my Barclaycard which is the only one I had that had a balance sitting on it, having been ona 0% deal that ran out at the beginning of Dec.

Igamogam it was PPI although I do have the CPP thing going on as well so have followed Martin's advice on that so far and we'll see what comes of it.

  • Hi all. I'd like to join in this challenge, although this month's payments have all gone so it's likely to be pennies here and there for the time being.

Today's PAD is £2.50 change into various pots.
