A good Saturday total of

Well done MB on that F&F payment! That must be a relief. It certainly does count as it's a payment off your debt. I've always taken PADs to be anything that keeps you on the debt busting path, getting you there quicker than you would otherwise. This thread tends to help people stay focussed in using any extra money against debt rather than just being swallowed up in general spends as well as trying to find those little amounts from rounding down accounts to keep chipping away at our debts.Every penny's a prisoner

Using my SOA I identified some areas I could cut back
-2 puzzle books a month . I had a backlog as i was busy before Christmas and I did so many trying to catch up, I got bored £1-90 and £2-25 every 4 weeks
-one puzzle book only available 8 miles away £4 daysaver bus ticket
-also exposes me to temptation of magazines, books (back to library only) and stationery (continue to use up scrap pile and old notebooks)
- visit mum once a week (£5 anybus ticket - 2 bus operators) and sometimes a meal deal £3-25). I had cut this back, was walking and taking all my own food for the day but it crept up again before Christmas.
I made a list of these and other small amounts and paid one amount from the list each night (subject to bank balance and any standing orders due out) and paid it off one of my credit cards. At the weekend I realised I had enough items left on the list to pay one a day to the month end.
PaD Jan £183-74 total
Will now start a list for February. Few standing orders on the 1st so it may be the end of the week before I pay them across.
Like the idea of rounding down the bank balance - did the same in reverse when I was first saving for a house. Made one weeks wage last for two weeks and paid wage into building society every other week. When I was standing in the queue I would check the balance and if it came to an odd 47pence would round up to a whole pound using pennies in my purse, if it was only £1 and a bit to the next £10 I would find that.(Little bit OCD wanting it to be an even number)
