Hello! I have just started a month's subscription to Xbox Live. If I buy a 12 month code can I input it straight away (and get 12 months after this month is up)?

Yes you can. Aslong as you dont put any credit card details in otherwise it will automatically charge you when your subscription is up.0

New cards will extend current subscription and not replace any outstanding. When a subscription runs out your live account will return to silver status until you buy a new card unless you have registered a credit/debit card then Microsoft will start charging that monthly until a new subscription card is purchased.0
