Competition
This Competition begins at 00:00 BST on 23rd May 2013 and ends 23:59 BST on 30th August 2013. During this period, you may enter the Competition by posting a photo or text entry using one of the following hashtags on either Tumblr, Twitter or Instagram:
1. “#ShouldHaveWornaBarbour”
2. “#BarbourPocket”
3. “#DaysoutwithDog”
4. “#BarbourCocktails”
5. “#BarbourAlFresco”
Alternatively submitting a photo or text post using the submit form on http://officialbarbour.tumblr.com/submit.
An entrant can enter any one or more of the five categories listed above providing that each entry is different. Whether an entry is different will be determined by Barbour in its own discretion and Barbour reserves the right to reject identical or substantially similar entries.
The following prizes will be given in respect of winning entries for the categories listed above:-
1. 15 x Barbour jackets of the winner’s choice (excluding the Collaboration and Sporting Ranges);
2. 15 x Barbour specific promotional hold-all bag;
3. 18 x Barbour dog coats of the winner’s choice;
4. 1 x Magnum bottle of Sipsmith summer cup cocktail
20 x Sipsmith bottle of their summer cup cocktail
1 x year’s supply of Yorkshire Tea
5. 30 x Barbour waxed Picnic Blankets and 30 x National Trust Family Membership Passes
In the event that there are insufficient entries for one particular category, then Barbour reserves the right to allocate such prizes to other categories at their own discretion.
This draw is open to everyone excluding employees or agents of Barbour or anyone professionally connected with the promotion and their immediate families.
No purchase necessary. Winning entries for category 4 will require proof of age that the entrant is 18 years of age or over. Winners will be notified within seven days of the closing date by email.
Method of Entry & Judging
Prize winners will be chosen by Barbour’s panel of judges using the following criteria:-
1. “#ShouldHaveWornaBarbour”
Each entry must include a photograph of a person/group of people that belongs to the individual. The winning entries will be those that are judged to be the most visually appealing with an element of humour.
2. “#BarbourPocket”
Each entry must include a photograph that belongs to the individual. The winning entries will be those that are judged to provide a strong and interesting story. The focus of the image must be items found in your Barbour pocket, but can be displayed as you wish.
3. “#DaysoutwithDog”
Each entry must include either a photograph of a dog or dog walk that belongs to the individual or a text entry describing your favourite dog walk. The winning entries will be those that are judged to be the most interesting and insightful.
4. “#BarbourCocktails”
Each entry must include either a photograph of a cocktail that belongs to the individual or a text entry describing a cocktail recipe. The winning entries will be those that are judged to be the most appealing, original and creative.
5. “#BarbourAlFresco”
Each entry must include either a photograph of an al fresco dish that belongs to the individual or a text entry describing a summer recipe. The winning entries will be those that are judged to be the most appealing, original and creative.
The decision is final and no correspondence shall be entered into.
All Winners will be notified individually via Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram and/or email. Failure of Winners to respond to such notifications within 48 hours may result in disqualification of the Winner and an alternative winner may be selected.
Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at Barbour’s sole discretion. Barbour reserves the right to substitute a prize for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason.
Photos
Before submitting a photo, you must ensure you have the consent of the people who appear in the photo and they understand the photo may appear on the Official Barbour Tumblr website and possibly be edited, as indicated below.
The person submitting the photo must have taken it and own the copyright in the photograph.
The people appearing in the photo must also be aware that the viewers will be able to use the ‘Like’ and ‘Reblog’ functions and can then post public comments about the photo.
We may decide to contact you so you will need to include valid contact details if your user profile is not explicit.
Editing
Barbour reserves the right to modify or edit the photo to remove inappropriate content or to digitally remove from the photo as it sees fit any imagery which includes other people or brands which are not Barbour.
