Another bathroom dilemma

Hello everyone, I have yet another dilemma. My bathroom is almost complete but we have to put the towel rail, hand towel rail and toilet roll holder in place, these all need to be placed in the tiled area of my bathroom. Please can anyone advise the best way to drill into tiles without cracking them.

Many thanks for all your kind and much appreciated feedback. I love this site !!!!

When I put the ones up in our previous bathroom, I put masking tape over the area I wanted to drill (in case I slipped and cracked or marked the the tiles) and then started off by using a very small drill bit and gradually moved up in sizes until I had the size of hole I needed. Someone may come along with a more technical way soon though, but it worked ok for me!

Make sure you are using a masonary drill bit of course.
Make sure you measure and mark correctly cos when you have drilled the holes you have drilled them!!

Get yourself a proper tile drill or sharpen a masonry bit with a grinder.
If using a masonry bit, sharpen it slightly using a grinder. Dont use hammer action on the drill until you have gone through the glaze and completely though the tile. Use masking tape or electrical tape to stop the bit slipping.
