Dear all,
I had Mozilla firefox running my pc when something went wrong and I was getting weird sites come up. I then deleted the Firefox and installed Internet explorer which is also giving me a lot of problem.
I now want to go back to Firefox but don't know how, can any one suggest some easy steps please.

Did you resolve the initial problem?
Post me a DDS log - should take 2-3 minutes.
Download DDS from the link below and save it to your desktop:
Link
After you've downloaded it and saved it to your desktop:- Double click DDS to run it.
- Click Start
- When it's finished, DDS will open two logs:
- DDS.txt
- Attach.txt
Copy & paste the contents of just DDS.txt for now and post it here (you may need to split the log over separate posts)0 -
You say you installed IE, but I thought most machines had IE installed anyway. I too had issues with FF and dumped it and now use chrome and ie, depending on my mood, as both are set up identically on screen. Whilst chrome is my preferred choice, it's a sod when trying to view (in emails) and save photo's to picasa , but with IE, it's a doddle. So each browser tends to hold some minor problem and rather than go into the depths of the machine, I avoid it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Many thanks Waddler_8, I will try. It is not so easy to work the computer now, I don't have any 'tool bars' now. tried to install Yahoo toolbar and I got a message back saying there is a virus in it. Am kind of confused, any help most appreciated.

I have disabled the smart screen, and I get exactly the same screen as you have posted saying there is a virus. I am not able to copy or paste anything.

Can you now download files after disabling smartscreen?0
