FlexDirect interest or Halifax £5 reward?

As it's the 1st of the month tomorrow, which is also a weekend, what are we going to see more threads of? People asking where their FlexDirect interest is or people asking where their £5 Halifax reward is??

Or are we going to get thrown a curve ball & folk are going to take a month off from asking?

Just for the record, anyone planning on asking - wait until next week!

Well being as the FlexDirect interest has already been paid tonight, I'd say Halifax and their fivers. ;)

Or did you mean to say LTSB Vantage interest instead?

Ah how could i miss the Vantage accounts. Throw them into the mix as well then.

I thought the FlexDirect accounts paid out on the first of the month (or rather dated first). Must be as i only check in the first few days of the month then & i've not really paid attention to the interest date on that.

Still, it's the 1st today. I await folk slating Halifax for not paying up 'on time'.

They do, but the 1st, in Nationwide banking terms, starts immediately after the late evening processing...so anywhere from 9pm to midnight.

I expect there will probably be a few posts from disgruntled Halifax punters who have not received their fiver because, IIC, this is the first month after the DD rule came in.

Despite what I wrote here earlier, it appears I missed the cut-off date by one day and had to go through a rather lengthy process to upgrade again.

Halifax and Lloyds TSB always pay at the same time, in my experience anyway. They are running the same system after all.

I've had FlexDirect interest but I haven't had Vantage interest yet so I doubt Halifax Rewards have been paid. Kinda strange that banks can't pay out on weekends though - I bet anyone going into an unplanned overdraft at the weekend would still get charged!

Oh yeah, that's the other one. It'll all be happening this month then :rotfl:

I forgot about that because i set up my D/Ds as soon as i read about the change in T&Cs which IIRC was back in January/February. No doubt there'll be people complaining about it, but ATEOTD, they set out the notice, they set out the rules & it was up to people to make the appropriate changes in time for it.
