TERMS & CONDITIONS

By submitting an entry, all entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
Entry Details

1. Entrants must be residents of the United Kingdom and 18 years of age or over.

2. To enter the competition, entrants must visit the competition webpage, www.experiencequeensland.com/greatbarrierreef and complete the entry form.

3. The competition entry period commences on Monday 27th May 2013 and ends on Friday 28th June 2013. Entrants may enter once only, however by referring a friend to the competition participants gain an extra entry for each referral.

4. The winner of the prize will be selected by random electronic draw to be conducted at Tourism and Events Queensland, 30 Makerston Street, Brisbane, Australia 4000 at 17:00 AEST / 08:00 GMT on 3rd July 2013.

5. The winner of the prize will be notified by email and the name of the prize winner will be posted on the competition website, www.experiencequeensland.com. If the Queensland holiday is not claimed by 24 July 2013, the prize will be forfeited and the prize may be re-drawn at the discretion of the Promoter.

Prize Details

6. The prize consists of the following itinerary for 2 adults and 2 children:
Flights:

4 x return economy flights with Qantas to Queensland, Australia inclusive of taxes and fuel surcharges from London Heathrow Airport. Subject to availability.

Accommodation:
2 nights staying at the Ibis in Brisbane in a standard room on a room only basis
14 Nights Cairns to Brisbane or Brisbane to Cairns - Apollo Euro Deluxe 6 Berth
2 nights staying at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Brisbane in a standard room on a bed and breakfast basis

The prize is inclusive of transfers to and from the airport plus £500 spending money

7. The retail value of the major prize is approximately as follows:
(i) Flights - £1500 pp (£6000)
(ii) Package (ground arrangements) £1,249 pp
(iii) Spending money - £500
Total prize value - £11,496

8. The prize winner will be required to book their Queensland holiday though Thomas Cook Signature and the booking will be handled by a dedicated travel consultant. The winner will be contacted by the travel consultant who will organise all travel arrangements. All travel must be booked by 23 August 2013
and travel must occur over the period 1st July 2013 to 31st March 2014. The following exclusion dates apply: 28 November 2013 to 1st January 2014.

9. All itinerary items are subject to availability. Thomas Cook Signature reserves the right to vary the prize itinerary, including changing flights, accommodation and tours, subject to availability. The prize winner may not alter the booking once it is confirmed. The prize winner and travel companions must travel together at the same time on the same itinerary.

10. The prize excludes travel insurance, passports, visas, meals, baggage allowance, taxes not included in the price of the ticket, travel outside of confirmed itinerary or any costs of a personal nature. Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the prize winner and travel companions.

11. Travel insurance is not provided and the Promoter recommends the prize winner and all travel companions obtain comprehensive travel insurance including medical coverage (at their own expense) prior to travel.

12. Entrants must be eligible for a short term tourist visa to Australia. For visa information visit www.immi.gov.au/visitors/tourist. The prize winner and travel companions must arrange and pay for their own tourist visa to Australia prior to travel. The Promoter will not be held responsible for any visas that are not approved prior to the travel date resulting in inability to travel. Ineligibility to obtain a visa results in cancellation of the prize and re-draw at the discretion of the Promoter.

13. The Promoter shall be entitled to cancel the prize and itinerary without notice should the prize winner or their travel companions engage in any inappropriate, illegal or immoral behaviour, use excessive alcohol, artificial stimulants or illegal drugs, or act in any manner which brings the Promoter or any person or organization involved in the promotion into public disrepute.
General

14. All late, lost, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, damaged, or reproduced entries are invalid and the Promoter is not responsible for such submissions nor for any error, technical malfunction, loss, omission or delay.

15. The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize. The prize is not transferrable or redeemable for cash.

16. The judges’ decision concerning any aspect of the promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

17. Employees and Directors of the Promoter or agencies associated with the promotion, and their immediate families, are ineligible to enter the promotion.

18. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of prize or any variation in the prize advertised and the prize provided. Each entrant releases and indemnifies the Promoter against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize or participation in the promotion including (but not limited to) personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.

19. By entering the promotion, you accept that the Promoter and all agencies associated with the promotion may use your name and likeness for their promotional and publicity purposes without the payment of any fee. By entering the promotion, you accept that the Promoter will be capturing personal information including your email address.

20. Entrants will receive automatic subscription to Tourism and Events Queensland online communications.
