I personally use smart ftp because it's free and relatively simple to use. Others on here may have their own preferences.

Id download that one, but it says 30 day free trial! What happens when its up?

I'm pretty sure it's still free for personal use. It's been a while since I used it, can't remember whether you have to register your email address to get a code or whatever but you still shouldn't need to pay for it.

unfortunately there are alot of related things that you're going to have to learn about.

If you are using windows then just open Windows Explorer and type in your ftp address. A box will pop up asking you for a username and password. Put in the right combination and you're there.

When you're more familiar with ftp then you can mess around with ftp programs.
